Croatia's FATHER Release 'Inspirita'
October 25, 2005Croatian metal five-piece FATHER have just released their debut record, "Inspirita", in the ex-Yugoslavia territory. The album was issued via Dallas Records (EMI/Virgin/Mute/V2 official licence),making it somewhat a historic moment, since it is the first time that the major label in Croatia has signed a metal band with English lyrics. The media and fans are already raving about this release and the potential of the band, with sales looking great in the first few weeks.
FATHER are strongly influenced by bands such as PANTERA, TOOL, MACHINE HEAD, FAITH NO MORE and ALICE IN CHAINS, still managing to sound fresh in the sea of copycats. Both the band and the label have big plans internationaly with this project and this year alone FATHER have opened for such renowned rock/metal acts as ANTHRAX, APOCALYPTICA and THE HIVES. The band's official web site, www.fatherband.com, will be re-claunched in the next few days with the first single, "Machina", available for download in both audio and video format.
FATHER will be touring throughout the countries on the ex-Yugoslavian territory for the rest of the year, with plans for a bigger European tour next spring.
